Did you know our installation footprint extends across all 9 provinces of South Africa?

Behind every successful implementation is more than just the technology it’s having the right people, with the right experience, in the right place.

With teams positioned across the country, Connecting Africa is equipped to support projects across different industries, environments and locations from major centres to more remote areas.

Our national footprint allows us to provide hands-on field support where it’s needed, whether we’re implementing technology solutions or working alongside our partners as an installation partner.

From site preparation and installation to implementation, maintenance and on-site support, our field teams bring practical experience and a hands-on approach to every project.

Because no two sites are the same, and no two projects are the same but the focus remains the same: getting the job done, and getting it done right.

Behind Every Installation

When people see a finished digital billboard, a VSAT installation, or an IPTV solution, they see the end result.

What they don't always see is everything that happens beforehand.

Every successful installation starts with careful planning, safety briefings and preparation. It continues with experienced technicians, teamwork, precision and a commitment to getting every detail right.

From the first site assessment to the final commissioning, our teams work to deliver solutions that businesses can rely on.

This carousel is a glimpse into what happens behind every connection and a recognition of the people whose expertise brings these projects to life every day.

Thank you to every member of our technical, project management and support teams for the professionalism and dedication you bring to every installation.

The final whistle may have ended Bafana Bafana's FIFA World Cup journey, but it doesn't take away what they achieved.

Reaching the knockout stage for the first time is a milestone that South Africans can be proud of. Congratulations to the players, coaching staff and everyone who contributed to an inspiring campaign.

Thank you for bringing the country together and reminding us what can be achieved through determination, resilience and belief.

On Sunday night, the world will back the superstars from Canada. More possession. Bigger clubs. Stronger odds.

But Bafana Bafana are our team of grit – happy to suffer without the ball, to defend as one, and to wait for that single moment that can flip the script and bring us glory.

At Connecting Africa, we know that feeling. We’re not the loudest or most famous tech brand. Yet when a client trusts us with their VSAT, wireless, IoT or digital signage and DOOH billboards, we step onto the field like Bafana: organised, relentless and ready to turn small chances into big results.

“Yes, we can” is our attitude in tough South African conditions – from remote sites to crowded branches – and it’s backed by Respect for our customers and teams, Integrity in how we deliver, Passion in every tasks and installation, and Excellence in every connection we make – human or technology based!

We may not be the superstars, but we’re the side you call when it’s knockout time and failure is not an option.

This Sunday, we stand behind Bafana Bafana – and behind every South African business fighting for its own victory!

This morning, many South Africans were running on two things: coffee and hope …
And Bafana Bafana delivered – big time!

Before the match against South Korea, I wrote about the technology behind the 2026 FIFA World Cup's Adidas Trionda smart ball – a sensor-equipped football generating real-time data hundreds of times per second to help officials make faster and more accurate decisions.

South Africa's 1-0 victory was a reminder that while technology can provide insights, success still depends on ex*****on.
⚽ The smart ball tracked every touch
⚽ The cameras tracked every movement
⚽ The analytics tracked every pattern

But Bafana still had to:
⚽ Stay disciplined
⚽ Stick to the game plan
⚽ Take their chance when it came

That's exactly the same lesson we see in business.

Whether it's soil moisture sensors on farms, queue analytics in branches, or telemetry on remote equipment – information alone doesn't create results. The organisations that win are the ones that turn information into action.

The smart ball provided the data. Bafana provided the ex*****on. In football and business alike, technology is an enabler – but people, preparation and action still determine the outcome."

Much like Bafana.
⚽ Less possession
⚽ More purpose
⚽ Better result

And somewhere in South Africa, a coffee machine worked harder than Ronwen Williams did in the first half. 😄

As a South African football fan, there is something wonderfully satisfying about spending years hearing that possession wins matches, only to watch Bafana qualify with 36% possession and 100% of the points that mattered. 😄

If your project ex*****on needs a goal to be scored – call Connecting Africa!

Set your alarm clocks, South Africa.⏰
Thursday 25 June, 03:00 CAT – South Africa vs South Korea at Estadio BBVA.

At this World Cup, even the TRIONDA ball is smart – packed with sensors that send data to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) team in real time to help make the right call. The same idea is changing how we farm, sell and work in South Africa.

Connecting Africa uses IoT sensors, RPMA IoT networks and dashboards to help farmers manage soil temperature, moisture and irrigation – and to help businesses understand queues, customer flows and remote operations. It’s “smart ball” thinking for smart farms, smart shops and smart factories.

If you’re curious about how sensors and data can reduce costs and improve performance in your organisation, let’s chat – preferably much later than the 03:00 kick off. 😊

On Thursday night, nobody was asking, "Was that a goal?" because the stream buffered at the worst possible moment.

The stream didn't buffer. It wasn't slow, sadly, Bafana suffered another slow performance. ☹

From big city fan parks to tiny dorpie school halls and farmhouse TV rooms – every touch, misguided pass and half chance came through in crystal clear UHD.
The Attack was so quiet you could almost feel the commentators looking for something positive to say. Defence? Almost like Bafana was practising social distancing from every Czech player. Eish …

There once was a night in the States,
Where Bafana fell short of the Greats.
The defence was asleep,
The attack counting sheep,
Then a handball smiled on our fates.

Mzansi were braving the cold,
Every heartbeat in green and in gold.
Though chances were few,
Vuvuzelas still blew,
We pray our luck doesn't fold.

If you want connectivity that performs better than your favourite national team on an off night, from dorpie to downtown, from VSAT workhorses to low latency LEO, we stand ready.

Thursday 18 June, 18:00 CAT – Czechia vs South Africa at Mercedes Benz Stadium, Atlanta.

Some supporters will be in big city fan parks. Others will be at a rural school hall, a mine rec room, or a farmhouse kitchen. Wherever you are, the only thing worse than conceding late is your signal dropping just as Bafana takes the lead.

Connecting Africa has installed more than 20,000 VSAT terminals across Africa and supports thousands of sites under tight SLAs – including major financial, retail and enterprise networks. Our teams are also supporting the next wave of LEO satellite technology to keep remote South African sites connected with lower latency and greater flexibility.

If your business needs reliable connectivity where fibre doesn’t reach, let’s talk.

On to the next, Bafana.
