DWR Distribution have a 2 000sqm premises in LaserPark, Honeydew. The office has a friendly and helpful sales team along with a demonstration area and training facility. A manufacturing department assists with custom made items such as bars or rails, and the cabling team that never have a moment to spare.

A specialised Network Training Course presented by Kyle Freemantle will take place at DWR Distribution in Cape Town on 17 September from 9am to 5pm.

In the world of live events, maintaining a stable and reliable network is essential. This requires careful planning of network topology, VLANs, redundancy, and switch configuration, ensuring seamless connectivity for audio, lighting, video, and other integrated systems.

The training will be hosted at DWR Distribution Cape Town, Unit 37B Platinum Junction, 4 School Street, Marconi Beam.

The cost is R250 per person and includes a light lunch and refreshments. Terms and conditions: While refunds cannot be provided for cancellations, participants may transfer their registration to another individual.

ROBE lighting is excited to be returning to one of the world’s liveliest and most dynamic entertainment epicentres – London – for the 2026 PLASA trade expo at Olympia next week, where the team is looking forward to meeting a diversity of lighting and production professionals working across all industry sectors.

PLASA’s buzz and vibes are a perfect setting for Robe to reveal five brand-new, inventive moving light and LED products, and to showcase its other latest technologies – on Stand A70+ – alongside its partner businesses, Avolites, Anolis, LSC Control Systems and Artistic Licence.

Robe products launched at PLASA 2026 are the Arianne 4 and Arianne 12 which expand the Arianne multisource LED IP65 series of fixtures following the launch of Arianne 2 and Arianne 6 earlier this year, making a complete family. Features include the 55W RGB Lime LED multichip source that seriously makes the colours pop, keeping everyone fully in the limelight!

HIVE partners with DWR Distribution to expand into South Africa

Hive Media Players a UK-based specialist in professional media playback, has appointed DWR Distribution as a distributor in South Africa, expanding access to its award-winning range of media players and control solutions across the region.

Founded in 2006, DWR Distribution is one of South Africa’s leading distributors of professional AV and entertainment technology, serving customers across live events, theatre, houses of worship, broadcast, architectural, commercial and installation markets. With premises in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, and extensive workshop, training and demonstration facilities, DWR combines product distribution with hands-on technical expertise and ongoing customer support.

The partnership will give DWR customers access to HIVE’s complete product portfolio, built around its award-winning Beeblade media engines and modular enclosures. DWR will initially hold local stock of selected Beeblade models and enclosures, while offering access to the wider HIVE range for projects requiring different levels of performance and scale.

More IP-rated firepower for Norwood Productions

Norwood Productions has added another batch of ADJ Lighting fixtures to their warehouse, with the addition of 30 new ADJ Jolt Bar FX IP fixtures.

This latest investment adds to their existing stock of 30 ADJ Jolt Bar FX fixtures and 30 ADJ Jolt Panel FX IP-rated fixtures.

With the Norwood Productions team taking on more and more outdoor events, the need for reliable IP-rated fixtures has become increasingly important. The Jolt Bar FX IP is a great addition to their growing inventory and gives the team even more flexibility for outdoor productions.

You are invited to join Robert Izzett for a 2-day Basic Rigging training course to be held from 20-21 October 2026 from 9am to 5 pm at DWR Distribution, Johannesburg.
The course aims to equip delegates with the rigging laws applied in South Africa according to SANS 10366. Robert will provide practical insight from calculations to the correct use of rigging, hardware, shackles, steel wire ropes, trussing, endless rounds and chains.

The cost is R500 per person and includes a light lunch and refreshments.
Terms and conditions: While refunds cannot be provided for cancellations, participants may transfer their registration to another individual.

The course will be held at DWR Distribution, Block C, Unit 1, Kimbult Industrial Park, 9 Zeiss Road, Laser Park, Honeydew.
