A learner’s access to quality education should not be determined by whether they attend a school in a rural area, township or affluent suburb.

At RuraTech, we believe that equipping underserved schools with technology devices is a critical step towards creating equal opportunities in the digital age. Through our Mobile Digital Libraries, we bring tablets, laptops, digital learning resources and teacher support directly to schools that lack libraries, computer laboratories and reliable internet connectivity.

These devices can open doors to Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools that support learning, creativity, research and problem-solving.
AI resources for primary school learners:
Khan Academy: Age-appropriate learning in mathematics, science and other subjects.
Scratch: Develop computational thinking and learn coding through interactive projects.
Canva for Education: Create educational presentations, posters and visual projects.
Google Gemini: Explore questions and explanations with appropriate teacher supervision and age-eligible access.
AI resources for secondary school learners:
ChatGPT: Support research, revision, writing, brainstorming and understanding difficult concepts.
Microsoft Copilot: Assist with research, explanations and productivity where available.
Khan Academy’s Khanmigo: AI-supported tutoring and guided learning, subject to availability and eligibility.
Wolfram|Alpha: Explore mathematics, equations, science and step-by-step problem-solving.
Perplexity: Support research and source discovery, with guidance on evaluating information and verifying facts.
AI must complement teachers, not replace them. Learners also need digital literacy, critical thinking, responsible AI use and guidance on verifying information and protecting their privacy.
