Would it get paid?

The cheapest protection is a rule: no payment or banking change happens because of an email. Finance phones the person, on a number they already have. The second layer is email security that notices when "the boss" isn't behaving like the boss. More in the first comment.

Most IT support starts the same way. You send an email, and then you wait — with no idea whether anyone has actually picked it up.

That uncertainty is its own problem. You can't tell your team when they'll be working again, and you end up following up just to find out whether anything is happening at all.

So here's what happens on our side.

Your request is prioritised by how urgent it actually is. It goes to people who already know your environment, so nobody asks you to explain your network from scratch — our directors included. Most things are sorted remotely, and when something needs hands-on attention we're Randburg-based. And if the fault turns out to sit with your internet provider or a software vendor, we take it up with them.

We take care of IT. You take care of business.
