We often say that the hour of death cannot be forecast. When we say this, we imagine this hour would be in a distant future. We never thought we would have to say goodbye to Ettienne at such a tender age.
Sometimes, the distance between what we think and what we want to say is unbridgeable.
And no matter how much we arrange and re-arrange the words they can never express the loss we feel as both individuals and as a company.
This admirable child, served with dedication and unquestionable loyalty.
Admirable people typically possess various fundamental qualities that enable them to act authentically, … exceed traditional standards and work in alignment with their core values … on a consistent basis.
Admirable people have strong morals, … are ethically minded and interact with others virtuously … using these tenets to guide them.
Admirable – is the only word to accurately describe Ettienne.
Ettienne had an unrelenting urge to always learn more – ‘But why’ – was the question that always followed, he had to understand why something works this way or that way, teachings which he absorbed … bright eyed like a sponge.
He was not only a valued member of our staff, he was a dear young friend who crawled into the hearts of everyone with his beautiful quirky smile and his many little telling ways, his outstanding sense of humour, and don’t forget his love for unspeakably ‘spicy’ food that he on several occasions, fooled someone into taking a bite of, just to watch their eyes water and leave them gasping.
Of cause, making sure he is a safe distance away when he was chased after.
We do not refer to him in jest when we say our 'Coltron baby',
he was in every way, everyone’s little one as he was lovingly referred to.
Death is not the end, love goes on and you will find the evidence long after he has gone. The flowers that he planted in our hearts will blossom without end, for as long as we all draw breath.
He is forever part of who we are and who we are to grow into as people.
Rest in God’s arms Ettienne, our broken chain will link again when our names are Called one by one.
We are grateful for the opportunity to express our most sincere condolences to his family and friends and, especially to his parents, who raised a very special, and unforgettable young man.
