In celebration of National Science Month and in anticipation of Women’s Month, we look back at one of our recent publications, “20 Years of Inspiring South African Women in Science”, published in 2024 to commemorate two decades of the South African Women in Science Award of the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology. Our involvement included interviewing 40 of these remarkable women recipients, writing up their research journeys, as well as the layout and printing of the publication as a coffee-table book.
