An electronic WiFi geyser timer can make an off-grid solar system much more efficient by automatically controlling when the geyser switches on and off. It can be programmed through a phone app to heat the geyser mainly during sunny periods, when the solar panels are producing plenty of electricity and the battery is full or nearly full, and to switch the geyser off or delay heating when rain, clouds or poor solar conditions are expected.
