Motswako has formally established and registered the Motswako Employee Share Ownership Trust, which will hold 51% of the company through a 100% employee-owned structure, enabling participating employees to collectively become majority owners.

The next stage of the FIH Hockey World Cup has arrived and we find ourselves in a pool alongside Ireland, France and Malaysia.

Our first assignment was France and after a tough encounter against Australia, the team showed incredible character, fuelled by some powerful motivation from our staff and Springbok Captain, Siya Kolisi.

Mustapha Cassiem stepped up with two penalty corner goals to put us 2-0 ahead, before France pulled one back on the half time ho**er.

What followed was an inspiring second half team effort, as we kept a clean sheet and showed incredible character.

Then, with just seconds remaining on the clock, Dayaan Cassiem walked the ball into the empty net after France had pulled their goalkeeper, sealing a 3-1 victory!

A massive three points on the board and an important step forward.

Next up, we face Malaysia at 11:00 on Sunday.

A spirited performance from the team, with plenty of positives to take from our opening game against Spain.

An absolute rocket from Mustapha Cassiem off a penalty corner was the only goal for the SA Hockey Men as we went down 3-1.

The result isn’t what we wanted, but there’s plenty to build on.

Full focus now turns to Ireland 🇮🇪 on Tuesday.
