Our centre offers a warm and intimate environment, often described as a 'home away from home', with a class limit of 12 students.

Each child receives personalized assistance with homework and test preparation. A freshly prepared, home-cooked lunch is served daily, accompanied by a healthy snack at tea time.
The small, diverse group of children from various schools fosters lovely friendships among them.

In Japan, the journey doesn’t end when the train stops — it simply transforms. Across several regions, decommissioned train cars are being repurposed into solar-powered dormitories for students, turning retired engines and carriages into vibrant living spaces. These once-speeding symbols of movement now rest quietly on sidetracks, offering warmth, privacy, and a sense of community to young residents seeking affordable housing.

Each carriage is divided into private sleeping pods — compact but thoughtfully designed, with fold-out desks, soundproof panels, and warm lighting. The exterior solar panels generate enough energy to power lights, fans, and device chargers for each pod, keeping the footprint low and the sustainability high. Restroom facilities and shared showers are installed in adjoining cabins, while older dining cars are converted into common areas where students gather to cook, eat, or study together late into the night.

The ambiance is quiet but purposeful. Original windows remain, framing views of rice paddies or station towns, while vintage signage and seat numbers lend a nostalgic charm. Some train dorms even retain their platforms, where bicycles now rest instead of passengers.

These solar dorms offer more than just shelter — they provide identity. Each student knows they are part of something unique: a space that honors the past while quietly supporting the future. In Japan, even an old train still finds ways to move people — just no longer on tracks.
