Microwave Repairs

Microwave Repairs Microwave Oven Repairs in Randburg - Quotations are free, repairs are Generally under R900.00 - Chea So what's wrong with your Microwave oven?

If it's a top of the range model it's definitely worth repairing - generally under R850! The mid range models you can decide after a quote, it's free. The cheaper models - replace! Many issues are around heating, poor, intermittent, or non existent! If everything else seems fine then it's generally the Magnetron, R225 to R330 or the High Voltage Fuse, R75. The Transformer (seldom) R600, Capacitor R110 or the Diode R35 can also cause this. When the lights are on but no one's home it's probably a door switch, there are multiple switches for safety, the electronics sense the door is open so the microwave won't switch on. If the microwave is dead it's around the power cable or the main power fuse. Fuse blows to protect the electronics. Generally the capacitor, magnetron, control panel or transformer. When the microwave works for a minute or two then stops, the Magnetron is overheating, could be the fan stopped working, or a relay, or the magnetron itself. Microwaves are very mechanical, mini relays (switches) on the main circuit boards etc. We repair the boards as well. The Magnetron runs on a very high voltage 2200 volts - BEWARE - Just unplugging the Microwave Oven isn't enough - the Capacitor, which doubles the voltage to 4400 volts acts as a high voltage battery!
