💡 The "Magic" of Staircase Lighting: How 2-Way Switches Work! ⚡️

Ever wondered how you can flip a switch at the bottom of the stairs to turn the light ON, and then flip another one at the top to turn it OFF? It’s not magic—it’s a clever bit of electrical engineering called Two-Way Switching!

In a standard room, one switch usually controls one bulb. But for stairs or long hallways, we need control from two different spots. Here is the simple science behind it:

🔹 The Secret Sauce: Unlike regular switches, a two-way switch has three terminals. They are connected by two "traveler" wires that run between them.
🔹 The Logic: Think of it like a bridge with two paths. When both switches are set to the same path, the circuit is "closed," and the electricity flows to the bulb. 💡
🔹 The Flip: When you flip either switch, you move the connection to the other path. If the other switch isn't on that same path, the circuit "breaks," and the light goes out.

It’s a simple, elegant solution that keeps us from tripping in the dark! 🌙

🛠 Craft Skills Fact: This setup ensures that no matter what position the first switch is in, the second one can always "override" the state to turn the light on or off.
