Jump Starting a vehicle.

One must be very carefull when jumpstarting your vehicle especially with today's cars with all its electronic control units and modules, its very easily damaged by polarity revers, over voltage or voltage spikes. So even if you place jumpers on the battery correctly you still have a risk of damaging the electronics.

To give someone a jump or too be jumped by some one in a case of a flat battery is equally dangerous to the cars electronics. most cars has voltage protection mesures and if you lucky will just pop a main fuse or other fuses, but if say these fuse's has already being replaced by a stronger fuse amp rating as to what the manufacturer recomend then your risk is very high that you will damage your vehicles electronics. my advise is rather not or have a suitable knowledgeble person do it if there is really no other way.
