Help us get Amada to the world stage! ✈️

Our very own WeThinkCode_ alumna, Amada Manuel (Cohort 2024, JHB), has been nominated for the Women in Tech Africa Awards 2026 in the Aspiring Teen category! 🎉

As the founder of Network In Your City (NIYC), Amada has built a thriving community of over 11,000 members across Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, connecting young people to opportunities, events and meaningful networks.

Now, she's been invited to the Women in Tech Africa Summit & Awards in Mauritius on 24 - 25 September, and we need YOUR help to get her there! 💙

While her accommodation and event ticket have been covered, Amada is raising R20,000 for her return flights. With just days to go before she takes off, every contribution counts!

Let's rally behind Amada and help her take this incredible opportunity beyond borders.

Donate towards her flight with the banking details in the post above.

What happens when you stop simply using AI and start understanding how to work with it?

For WeThinkCode_ student Otlile Lebelo, the GenAI programme transformed the way he approaches coding, studying and problem-solving.

Through the programme, Otlile learned how to sharpen his prompts, work with AI for documentation and build a structured workflow that helps him move from understanding concepts to applying them in practice.

The result? Less trial and error, more intentional problem-solving - and a more effective way of using AI to support his work.

Want to get more out of AI? Sign up for our GenAI programme and learn how to put AI to work for you.

AI is more than understanding how it works. It’s knowing how to use it to solve problems, think critically and get better results.

Our GenAI programme allows learners to move beyond theory and put AI into practice through hands-on exercises, coding and real-time problem-solving.

For Khanya Nongwe, that meant learning how to refine prompts, troubleshoot independently and apply new concepts with confidence.

Ready to build practical GenAI skills? Sign up for the course and start learning how to put AI to work!

She travelled halfway across the world carrying South Africa's flag, her passion for technology, and the determination to prove what young women can achieve.

This Women's Month, we're celebrating Tshabalala, who represented South Africa at the BRICS Hi-Tech Future Skills Competition in Russia and achieved 3rd place in the world in the Computer Games 3D Modelling category.

Her journey is one of resilience, growth and excellence, and today we're proud to share her story in her own words.

Congratulations, Refiloe - we're incredibly proud of you.
