Yesterday morning, Cloud On Demand, in partnership with Microsoft, brought Finance and IT leaders together at Bryanston Country Club for an Executive Business Breakfast focused on The Sovereignty Paradox.

The conversation explored the increasingly complex intersection of cloud economics, data sovereignty and compliance and what this means for South African organisations navigating a changing cloud landscape.

From currency volatility and cloud cost predictability to POPIA, data residency and the National Data and Cloud Policy, the discussion highlighted the importance of taking a more strategic approach to cloud investment, governance and risk.

The FY27 GTM Kickoff: Braai Day Edition has officially wrapped up on Tuesday, taking us from Johannesburg to Cape Town.

Across three weeks, we brought our partner ecosystem together to explore Microsoft’s FY27 priorities across AI, Modern Work, Azure and Security, unpack growth opportunities and experience the possibilities of AI through Microsoft AI Race Day.

More than just a kickoff, the roadshow was about building stronger partnerships, sharing ideas and creating momentum for the year ahead.
And, of course, celebrating the South African way with good people, good conversations and plenty of braai.

Durban brought the heat.
Yesterday, the FY27 GTM Kickoff: Braai Day Edition made its way to the coast, bringing Cloud On Demand, Microsoft and our partner ecosystem together at The Beverly Hills Hotel.

It was an afternoon filled with big conversations, practical AI, partnership and plenty of energy as we explored what FY27 has in store across AI, Modern Work, Azure and Security.

But beyond the strategy and technology, the afternoon was about connecting, sharing ideas and strengthening the partnerships that drive growth. And naturally, we ended the day the Braai Day way, with good food, good people and great conversations.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the Durban stop such a memorable one.
