Sierra Group is positioned at the forefront of this evolution and is aggressively expanding the deployment of “Free WIFI Hotspots” across the country and the rest of the continent. Our Focus Deployments;



1. WIFI along Transport Corridors – WIFI deployment along transport corridors, within transportation vehicles i.e. Taxi’s, Buses, Cabs/Uber taxi cabs, Trains and along the main transport routes – Taxi ranks, Bus Stations, Train Stations and Cab Pickup points across the country (Commuters are an economically active segment of the population and have access to disposable income and need constant interaction on social, education and business levels).


2. WIFI to Homes – targeting medium income neighborhoods across Gauteng and the rest of the country. This will complement the current initiatives that are targeting Fibre to the Homes as the core strategy for extending high speed broadband to homes across South Africa


3. Carrier WIFI - development in partnership with GSM operators as a low risk approach for the development of WIFI as the primary data access platform for the mainstream telecom operators


4. Digital Advert, VAS and Smart APP Services – building smart applications and services over the basic infrastructure delivering real value and experiences to end users be they at home and or within the travel, work and city / metro environments in general.
