Projectized Management at SITA GovTech 2026 | Building Towards Digital Sovereignty 🇿🇦💻

“Building Towards Digital Sovereignty: South Africa as Architect of its Digital Destiny for Citizens.”

The event brought together government, industry leaders, technology innovators and key stakeholders to engage in important conversations around digital sovereignty, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud and connectivity, innovation, and citizen-centric digital services.

A key highlight for Projectized Management was the participation of our Managing Director, Ms Nokuthula “Nokky” Ndlovu, who served as the Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the Day 2 Plenary & Innovation Pitch programme. She also facilitated the GovTech Innovation Pitch, providing a platform for SMME participants and judges to showcase innovative solutions and ideas aimed at advancing digital transformation.

The Plenary programme featured thought-provoking discussions, including the panel:
🔹 “Enabling Small Technology Firms Through Policy, Funding and Market Access”, featuring Mr Loyiso Tyira (TIA), Dr Bangani Mpangalasane (Innovation Hub), and Mr Willie Mathebula (National Treasury).

The wider programme also explored critical strategic areas such as:
🔹 AI as a Public Good for Service Delivery
🔹 Balancing Global Connectivity Benefits with Digital, Economic and National Sovereignty
🔹 Connectivity for Critical Public Services
🔹 Finding the Right Investment Priorities for AI, Automation or Digital Transformation
🔹 The Economic Case for Sovereign Cloud
🔹 Coordinating Cyber Defence Across the Digital State

These conversations strongly reflected the overarching focus of GovTech 2026 strengthening South Africa’s ability to shape its own digital future while ensuring that technology delivers meaningful value for citizens.

Driving Digital Sovereignty at GovTech 2026

We were honoured to participate as SMMEs at SITA GovTech 2026, under the inspiring theme:“Building Towards Digital Sovereignty: South Africa as Architect of its Digital Destiny for Citizens.”

Through our Technology & Digital Skills Practitioner Programme, we are advancing a vendor‑led initiative designed to bridge the second‑tier digital technology skills gap within government. This programme equips practitioners with practical, future‑ready competencies, ensuring that South Africa builds the capacity to design, own, and sustain its digital future.

Our participation reflects a shared commitment to:
- Empowering citizens by strengthening digital literacy and practitioner expertise.
- Supporting government transformation with scalable, sustainable skills development.
- Positioning SMMEs as architects of innovation in the digital economy.
- By rolling out this programme in partnership with government, we contribute to South Africa’s journey toward true digital sovereignty where citizens benefit from a digitally empowered public sector and a resilient, inclusive economy.

What a privilege it was for Projectized Management to host our Women’s Month Breakfast Meeting 2026, bringing together an incredible group of women who are leading, innovating, and making a meaningful impact across the technology and business landscape.

It was an honour for Projectized Management (Pty) Ltd to be part of the Black Business Annual Summit 2026 and Gala Dinner, held under the theme:

“Growing the South African Economy through Economic Empowerment, Re-industrialisation and Localisation in the Era of Artificial Intelligence.”

Our Managing Director, Ms. Nokuthula “Nokky” Ndlovu who is a BBC Chairperson of ICT had the privilege of attending this important gathering of business leaders, entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders.

The Summit provided a valuable platform for meaningful conversations around economic empowerment, localisation, re-industrialisation and the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in shaping South Africa’s economic future.

The Gala Dinner was a particularly special occasion, bringing together leaders who continue to contribute towards building a more inclusive, innovative and sustainable economy.
