I am proud that Jona Solutions was given the privilege to develop the app for Gym Company – an established, 100% South African gym group that provides world class facilities at affordable prices.
The Gym Company App was designed for use by their member base and boasts a magnificent loyalty programme - aptly named “gym4free” - that rewards its members with free gym. As members easily earn cashback via options such as referring friends, and making purchases through the app, their accounts are automatically credited when they earn enough cashback to cover their gym fees.
In addition to biometric authentication, the app also has an advanced OCR receipt scanning feature that allows members to take a photo of a till slip that will be read and check for any participating stores and products. If a valid product is detected, the relevant cashback amount is automatically allocated to the member's wallet.
This development project has been a long journey, which has not yet concluded, because there are still more exciting features to come!
In addition to the development of the app (which includes seamless integration with various 3rd party systems), Jona Solutions has contributed towards the growth of the initiative by consulting on the software development that includes process automation and database development and management.
