‼️ PWV Arrest Alert ‼️

Two nights ago our newly installed PWV CCTV Surveillance detection cameras detected odd movements and behaviour anomalies in the ifafi area. Video footage confirmed two suspects with a bag moving suspiciously.

PWV Armed reaction services was dispatched immediately and “confronted” the individuals whereby they were searched. House breakin tools were discovered and they were subsequently arrested.

We are glad that our cctv camera poles are making a huge difference to pro-actively detect criminal behaviour.

These poles will be further rolled out where there is an interest and need to detect criminal behaviour at the street level.

Around 8:45am on the 7th of February 2023 , PWV Special Reaction officer: Hardus received a call from one of the security officers from Spar Sediba Plaza
requesting backup after witnessing two men at Total Energies (fuel station) selling ci******es that were
presumed to be stolen from a break-in that occurred the previous night at the store. When the suspects were
approached by staff members, they quickly fled towards the Melodie Plot’s bush whereby PWV engaged
in the chase.

The suspects hid inside an old strawberry farm's abandoned house leaving some of the
stolen goods in their trail.
Officer Hardus quickly contacted the PWV control Centre requesting backup, Natasha (operator) dispatched more members, the SAPS and
phoned Mr. Romano (CPF Hartbeespoort).

As PWV V1 Hardus was patrolling around the suspected area, he caught one of the
suspects who was hiding, On the police and CPFs' arrival, multiple individuals searched the whole farm and found
more hidden stolen goods along with the other suspect, most of the stolen goods were confirmed to
be recovered and the apprehended suspects were taken to SAPS Hartbeespoort Police Station. A case of Theft was subsequently opened at the Hartbeespoort Police station.

PWV Reaction officers was conducting random patrols in the Hartbeespoort area when an anonymous tipoff was received of possible drug dealing in the area. PWV reaction officers kept close surveillance on the target and confirmed the suspects illegal activities. The SAPS K9 unit was called in to assist with the search and arrest.

After searching the suspect, It was then confirmed that an excessive amount of Ma*****na was found in the suspects possession with other narcotics packaged in small and medium zip-lock bags.

The suspect was arrested and taken to Hartbeespoort police station where a case was opened.

PWV would like to thank the SAPS K9 unit for their quick response and assistance.

Inwoners in Maraisstraat het vroeg Maandagoggend die mannetjie- en wyfiekolganse met sewe kuikens in ‘n woonkompleks opgemerk. In ‘n stadium is die ouers van die kleintjies geskei en daar is gevrees dat die gesinnetjie in die besige Maraisstraat raakgery sou word. PWV Sekuriteit se hulp is ingeroep, paaie is geblokkeer en inwoners het gehelp om die gansgesin terug in die straat te kry vanwaar hulle deur sekuriteitsbeamptes, inwoners en Hartbeespoort Fire & Rescue straat af begelei is na die damoewer in Waterfrontstraat.

Dit was egter nie so eenvoudig nie. Mense moes bontspring om te keer dat die spannetjie op koers bly en nie in die nabygeleë veld, of in woonerwe, verdwyn nie. Na twee ure se gespook, is die ganse eindelik veilig tot by die oewer aangepor.

“Ja, vir ‘n verandering, jaag ons vandag ganse aan en nie skelms nie,” het een sekuriteitsbeampte gelag.
Die inwoners het PWV bedank vir die omgee en hul bereidwilligheid om selfs Hartbeespoort se kolganse veilig te hou!

Area Update:

PWV continued with our cleaning and clearing operation between Obaro and Dreiers where drug dealing and it’s use is observed daily.

7x “troublesome” homeless individuals were relocated by PWV to the Free State at their own free will. Transport and food was provided to the above.

Tents and illegal structures were removed and the area was cleaned.

Any illegal structures will be removed immediately, and the area will be marked as a crime free zone with a zero tolerance policy.

The PWV Control Centre received a call from a client in the early hours of the morning, indicating that a suspect was in their yard. PWV Reaction services responded and arrived within minutes causing the suspect to drop his tools and run. A clear message was sent. Crime will not be tolerated and criminals will be dealt with. ,
