Update on Technical Issue.

Our IT technicians are working on resolving the PC issue caused by a crashed hard drive. We're making progress and aim to have all services back to normal soon. As a precaution, we advise clients to scan their flash drives for viruses to prevent further damage.

We'll do our best to recover and secure your important data. We'll provide another update tomorrow afternoon with the latest progress.

Important Update for Our Valued Clients

We're working to resolve the technical issue with our main PC, which has been experiencing a hard drive failure. We've ordered a new PC with Windows 11 from Vuyo's Internet Cafe, scheduled to arrive by October 31, 2025.

As a result of the hard drive crash and upcoming end-of-support for Windows 10, we're prioritizing a permanent solution. Unfortunately, the scarcity of PC technicians in Makhanda has caused a delay.

Current Services:

- Copy services are available
- Online services, scanning, and printing are temporarily suspended

Important Update for Our Valued Clients

Unfortunately, we're experiencing a technical issue with our main computer, which has resulted in damage to our hard drive. Our IT Technician has assessed the situation and identified a hard drive failure due to multiple problems.

*Resolution Plan:*

- Back up all client information to a disk storage drive
- Reinstall Windows or utilize an alternative PC

This issue has caused disruptions to our services, including slow processing and communication challenges. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience and understanding.

We'll provide an update as soon as the issue is resolved and our systems are back online. We're committed to delivering the best possible service, and we're working diligently to resolve this matter.

Registration Tips:

- Register with SARS as soon as you start earning income from part-time jobs
- Link your active email address and cell number to your SARS profile
- Record your login details for future use
- Check your SARS profile annually, especially if you change your contact information
- Keep your Gmail email address and password safe

New Registration Process:

- SARS now uses a biometric system, which requires a facial scan
- Old taxpayers, ensure you have your SARS mobile number linked on sars records and your email address.

Notice of Income Tax Registration Letter is a Registration Letter required by an employee to prove that your a registered tax payer.

This documents is required before any employment or contract issued to you.

We urge all Makhanda Residents or unemployed people to register before any employment takes place to simply say be ready with document within time as sars prohibits active tax payers to grant permission to access the system when your details change.

New tax payers are required to complete the biometric system were sars captures your face then enter new details during the registration process.
