Here’s an interesting case study that demonstrates how much creativity and adaptability becomes possible with a Micro Data Centre. 💡🏢

German company, Viega, needed to address a lack of redundancy in parts of its IT infrastructure, but faced two major constraints: limited space and no time to build a conventional new data centre.

The answer was two Rittal Micro Data Centres (MDCs), installed on different floors and in separate fire compartments. This provided the necessary redundancy and capacity for production-related applications, while also meeting the required security and fire safety standards.

Notably, the solution wasn’t just about solving an immediate problem. The MDC can be extended as requirements change, giving Viega the flexibility to adapt its IT infrastructure over time.
