The Pathfind copywriting and PR team put in a mountain of work, writing an advertorial on behalf of a client for their atmospheric documentary “Returning to Maskam”, a love project about a little-known mountain and the people who live in its shadow.

The piece ran in Daily Maverick, and yes, holding our own in a prestigious newspaper felt like reaching the summit.

The documentary is a delightful watch and can be viewed for free on YouTube. To quote ourselves, “The film takes a contemplative, poetic look at a lesser-known, understated region of the country and why it, too, is special and a place of contradiction.”

The Pathfinders recently joined My Father’s House at Mandolin Place in Steenberg in support of their community kitchen and feeding scheme.

This incredible initiative was started in 2020 in response to the Covid pandemic and has continued to provide meals to families, elderly people, and individuals in crisis across local communities. In 2025 alone, My Father’s House has served more than 191,000 meals across 39 communities.

We were honoured to lend a hand, share a few smiles, and be reminded that good work is also about showing up where it matters.
