South Africa is Hosting the TechWomen Delegation 2026 and the countdown has begun!

As South Africa prepares to host the TechWomen Delegation in 2026, we are proud to introduce the TechWomen South Africa Delegation Committee Leads.

These women serve as the primary points of communication between TechWomen, the International Exchange Program, and the 2026 Delegation. They work closely with their respective committees and are surrounded by their equals ; ensuring a collaborative and successful delegation in 2026. This reflects the values of shared leadership, trust, and collective ownership that define the TechWomen community.

✨ Meet the Delegation Committee Leads (left to right):
: Events and Logistics
PhD : Cultural Engagements
Jankowitz : Project Management
: Delegation Support
: Promotions.

Together, these leaders and their committees are responsible for coordination, communication, and ex*****on across all delegation activities. Their collective focus is to deliver a meaningful, well-organised, and impactful TechWomen experience in South Africa.

We look forward to welcoming global women tech leaders and building lasting cross-continental partnerships rooted in collaboration and Ubuntu.

The year started and we pressed on the pedal for a mission close to our hearts: in

Through impactful partnerships with Durban University of Technology (DUT) and Nelson Mandela University (NMU), and the support of a leading Automotive-sector sponsor, we proudly facilitated 37 bursaries for deserving students pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

We are calling on more corporate partners and institutions of Higher Learning to join us.

This journey began with those who believed in our vision—and we remain deeply grateful for the trust placed in us. It’s been a privilege to help answer the prayers of students and families.

As Founder of Mbasane Women in IT, my mission is to empower young South African women to excel in the competitive world of technology. South Africa's alarming unemployment rate, exacerbated by the global gender gap in tech, presents formidable challenges. I am driven to harness the power of skills development and technology as catalysts for change. By cultivating exceptional talent and creating opportunities, we can foster a more inclusive and prosperous future.

My passion for this work has been recognized with multiple Passion Awards from the SA Homeloans Sekela Program, and I was honored to be named one of KZN's Top Business Women in 2022. This consistent validation fuels my commitment to creating a lasting impact.

From a pool of 6342 applicants, only 103 were selected for the prestigious TechWomen 2024 Emerging Leader program, and I am honored to be one of the five chosen from South Africa. This extraordinary achievement further validates the importance of our work and fuels my determination. My journey is not about personal accolades, but about building a robust foundation for the women I serve.

Through the TechWomen program, I aim to equip myself with the tools and knowledge essential to expand our reach both nationally and internationally.

I look forward to embarking on this journey with these phenomenal women; Apiwe Hotele, Dr Emma Molobi (Pr.Eng, IWE), Ntokozo (Happy) Msiza - Cand.Sci.Nat and Sarah McEwan.

It was a beautiful journey to walk with these guys, I learnt a lot from them and I miss our engagements.

Ex*****on of this project in partnership with an Action COACH Business Coaching- KZN Marlene Powell was and will always remain one of my proud moments.
