The Services SETA, as a key player in the development of skills in the services sector, is offering bursaries to deserving students who wish to study in 2018. The Services SETA’s bursary scheme focuses on educational programmes in the services industry, as well as in the educational fields that address critical and scarce skills in general.
The funding may cover partial or full payment of tuition, books and accommodation for undergraduate and postgraduate educational levels. Terms and conditions apply.
Question: Who qualifies for the bursary?
A: Unemployed:
• Grade 12 learners who have applied to higher learning institutions
• Students studying fulltime in public institutions in the Republic of South Africa
• Unemployed South Africans citizens who wish to study towards NQF level 5 qualification and above
B: Employed:
• Employed South African citizens studying fulltime or part-time in a public institution in the Republic of South Africa studying towards NQF level 5 qualification and above
The following documents must be attached:
• Certified Copy of the South African ID of the applicant
• Certified Copy of the South African ID of his/her parents or guardian.
• Grade 12 Results for first year students or Latest Academic record for previously registered students.
• Proof of parent or Guardian’s Income (Certified or official recent payslip not older than 3 months. This includes any income received from SASSA grants, Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), or any retirement, life, disability or other benefits paid as a lump sum or in monthly payments).
• Acceptance letter from Higher Institution will be required before funding is confirmed.

Greeting to the people of Endumeni and the surroundings, special greetings to the young people doing grade 12, as they look forward to their metric exams. My greetings comes at a very difficult times in the countries economy as the economy is shrinking and and unable to create jobs, more than 50% of the population of this country are unemployed and the number continues to grow, so in the context of the above economic remarks as an organisation advancing the interest of young people of Endumeni and the surrounding areas, we have decided to put together an alternative training program, that will radically transform the fortunes of young people of the Endumeni town, This is a business training program that will guarantee employment for the youth of Endumeni.

The first beneficiaries of this ground breaking training program will be the metric class of 2017, It is a strategic program that seeks to promote economic empowerment and independence amongst the youth of Endumeni, So young people who have metric and those who will be completing their schooling this year must be in a look out, date for registrations will be published on due cause. We encourage all young people to come register for this training course and break the cycle of poverty and unemployment amongst the young of Endumeni town, as they will be trained and equipped with the right skills and tools to determine their own future.
