Creating a strong promo video is one of the most valuable storytelling tools an organisation can have.

The goal was to capture the heart of their work and the journey of a growing movement committed to ending gender-based violence in faith spaces.

A good promo becomes a powerful asset. It can open doors to partnerships, support funding conversations, strengthen advocacy, and help new audiences immediately understand the mission.

Grateful to have contributed to a project that is working towards safer, healed and violence-free communities.

“Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room.”

This is the logofolio for Hashtag Creative Studios — a collection of identity work created for brands that wanted more than something that just looks good.

Every logo here starts with one question: who are you, really?

A few things I’ve learned from designing brand identities:
• A good logo works just as well in black and white as it does in colour
• Simplicity isn’t basic — it’s intentional
• If your logo can’t explain your story, it’s just decoration

Strong branding isn’t about trends. It’s about clarity, story, and connection.

Working alongside Meropa Communications, we successfully completed this video for FORD, which forms part of a series of events, underpinned by an advertising, marketing and PR campaign which, it hopes, will truly do justice to both the brand and its history in South Africa.

It’s a message which should resonate with current and potential Ford owners. It speaks to the emotional relationship which more than 85% of South Africans have with their cars. It says: We were part of your history and we’re going to be around to be part of your future.

In a world that's constantly evolving, brand adaptability has become an essential trait for success. Your brand is no longer confined to a static logo or identity – it's a dynamic entity that can shift and evolve, like a chameleon changing colours.

The Challenge:
While my old logo had served me well, it was time for a change. The crow has always symbolised intelligence, adaptability, and innovation - qualities that define my design approach. However, the design needed a refresh to resonate better with my evolving brand philosophy.

The Impact:
The revamped logo isn't just a visual update; it's a testament to the power of transformation and the journey of self-discovery. The case study showcases the adaptability and evolution that every brand should embrace. It communicates that brands, like mine, can continually evolve, remain relevant, and tell a story.

We embarked on the creation of a campaign to shed light on the profound impact of war on the minds of our youth. Campaigning for children feels like the most tangible way to make a positive difference, particularly when we're so far removed from the struggles they endure.
