Training: Special Asset Protection Services
Draxin recently acquired a 70% stake in Special Asset, a female owned company originally founded in 1999. With them being subject matter experts their focus is on crime prevention by facilitating, assessing and training with specialization in firearm, safety and security related skills. They have a national footprint of 34 branches/affiliates throughout the country. Special Asset Protection Services is an accredited provider with registered assessors at the SASSETA for the implementation of learnerships and/or skills programmes, ensuring that all facilitators, moderator and assessors comply with prescribed South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) regulations. Special Asset also has memorandums of understanding with other training providers which enable them to present IT, soft skills and new venture creation training. On strategic level, Draxin also acquired a partnership with Altivex ESDA (Employment and Skills Development Agency) which place us in the favorable position to provide a variety of different disciplines in training on short notice. Draxin follows a strict product Development model tailored to suite the client individual needs. The fundamental principles of agile development and internationally recognised project management standards are governed accordingly to ensure on time, on target solution delivery. Rock Integrity Monitoring Solution - in support of developing a solution that will reduce Fall of Ground injuries and incidents. DOHEMS Development - in support of providing a solution to better enable staff to identify hazardous exposures and situations. This is a continuation of a project
Dust particle & weight sizing unit - in support of research and development of leading indicator particulate sensing, for the continuous real-time monitoring of particulate matter with a focus on benefits for the health and ventilation disciplines. Blast & Advance Monitoring Solution - in support of developing a solution that will detect the number of shots fired per blast, determining the number of misfires prior to entering the workplace, and the resultant understanding of the face advance to identify the risk of potential for Fall of Ground occurrences. Under Ground Vending Solution - in support of developing an underground vending solution that facilitates and automates dispensing of PPE and medicine underground. Physiological Monitoring Solution - in support of providing a durable physiological monitoring solution to support the SHE discipline in base lining and monitoring the effects of the workplace on employees. Compact Cap Lamp - in support of developing an alternative to the current ergonomically challenging cap lamp and battery, with focus on weight, size, user comfort, reliability and maintainability. Compact Breathing Apparatus- in support of research and development of a light weight Self-Rescue Pack/Compact breathing apparatus that will provide a minimum of 20 minutes breathable air allowing the wearer to reach a safe destination in the case of an emergency.
