Not all QCTO qualifications are affected, but certain legacy-aligned learnerships may be approaching a significant transition point as 30 June 2026 approaches.
Historically, extensions have kept some legacy qualifications active beyond their original timelines. However, there has currently been no clear indication from SETAs, the QCTO, or relevant ministries that further blanket extensions will automatically be granted again.
