August 9th marks Women’s Day in South Africa, but at Quoin Technologies, we honour the entire year as a celebration of women’s strength, vision, and leadership—especially in industries where they continue to break boundaries.

💼 At Quoin Technologies, our project management and product delivery teams are powered entirely by women. In a fusion of two traditionally male-dominated spaces—property and technology—we’re proud to be part of a new wave of women leading innovation in PropTech.

Women are leading South Africa’s property market:

66% of users on property portals are women.

67% of rental listings are searched by women.

63% of mobile property searches are made by women.

Women now own or co-own 71% of all properties in South Africa.

In real estate careers:

57% of the real estate workforce is female (up from 43% in 2016).

The most active age group in the market? Women aged 25–34.

In technology, however, there’s still room to grow:

Only 23% of tech jobs in South Africa are held by women—just 56,000 out of 236,000 ICT roles.
