The cable that improves….

The Classic Legend MkII is here, and the science behind it is genuinely unlike anything else on the market.

𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀.

But even the purest silver wire develops microscopic cracks as it cools during manufacturing. Those gaps show up at the listening end as a hardness in the treble, a clinical edge to vocals that keeps the music at arm's length.

𝗚𝟵 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁. 🔬

Gold atoms migrate into those cracks, sealing the conductor from within. Vocals lose their brittleness. Treble settles into something smoother and more natural.

What happens next is what makes the MkII special, though. As current flows through the conductor, it drives those gold atoms deeper into the silver matrix, improving the cable with every session. 📈

The MkII also introduces carbon-infused shielding, which absorbs electromagnetic noise as heat rather than reflecting it back into the signal.

What that means in the room is a quieter background, with fine details emerging that you did not know you were missing. 🔊

Alongside this, air-filled chambers now suspend the conductor rather than solid insulation, which would otherwise store energy and release it back with a slight delay.

We are back this Saturday for another intentional listening session, and the momentum from the previous volumes has set a high bar for what we expect in the room.

Winter brings a shift in the air, and while you might be settling in for more time in the listening chair, this is your seasonal reminder:

𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗿𝗶𝗴!

As temperatures drop and humidity fluctuates, the internal components of your amplifiers and turntables become vulnerable to condensation and corrosion.

Thankfully, though, you don’t need to overhaul your entire setup to stay ahead of the weather. A few simple habits make a massive difference.

To start, try to keep your system away from cold walls or direct drafts. It seems so simple, but you would be surprised at what we’ve seen over the years.

Moreover, if your listening room gets particularly damp, consider a small dehumidifier to keep the air stable.

𝗔𝗹𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗱-𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.🔥

Check your connections occasionally.

Unplugging and reconnecting your cables every now and again helps prevent oxidation.

If you have equipment that sits idle for weeks, give it a regular, gentle warmup to keep the circuits healthy.

Good airflow is quite important, as well!

When gear is tucked into an unventilated cabinet, it is far more likely to trap moisture during these colder months, and as we well know…
