Senior Application Support:

The candidates should have strong Linux and Oracle skills and should be familiar with scripting within these environments. Note the this not negotiable.
Minimum 5 years application support experience
Required are qualifications from CPUT/UCT/UWC/UNISA etc. It has to be an IT/Computer Science degree or diploma

Technical Skills required:

Candidate should be familiar with Unix and Windows as operating system.
Should at least have intermediate skills with regards to Shell Scripting or any other scripting interface in Unix / Linux.
Comfortable with SQL and be able to design / create / automate reports.
5 Years or more application support related skills.
Proven track record with regards to being resilient within a high pressurised environment.
Will to work additional hours from time to time.
Needs minimal supervision and be focus driven.

Services is as follows:

Continuous Service availability
Service Transition management
Provide application 2nd level support
Secure IT platforms / regular patch management, maintain platform integrity
Application User administration and management
Execute IT security controls
Monitor and Intercept services alerts
Effective incident management
Identify areas for Continuous Improvement and deliver one CSI initiative per month
Perform standby duties
Effective and accurate Daily ICE and SOX control ex*****on

The main purpose of this role is to maintain a stable environment and multitask between daily database administration tasks and new code development.

The candidate must have a:

• Qualification in MS SQL Server Database Design and / or Administration.
• Any other relevant courses or certifications.

Essential Skills:
3+ years’ experience in the following : -

• SQL coding and Database Administration
• MSSQL Server 2005 or later

Well done to Candidate Master, Mr. Joseph Mwale from Malawi that won the 2019 Condorgreen-Mitchells Plain Chess Club Open. Joint tie for second place was International Master, Mr. Watu Kobese, Kenneth Willenberg and Craig Willenberg. Mr. Mwale won the grand prize of R10,000 with the second placed winners also sharing the cash prize of R10,000. The tournament saw some upsets with lower rated players like Sandiso Kedama rated 1547, hailing from the Crossroads Chess Club slaying a dragon in the chess fraternity, Mr. Reuben Salimu rated 1959. Young Liam Baruch admirably held his own again IM Watu Kobese but ultimately succumbed to a superior endgame technique by the master. The Mitchells Plain Chess Club would like to thank Condorgreen Infotech for sponsoring the chess tournament and once again committing to grow and develop chess within Mitchells Plain.
