What are the foundations of the free-market economy? They are private property, rule of law, free association - that is, the right for people to join together to do something for which they're competent, to take care of themselves and meet the needs of others. That's what business is. And from that, free exchange. The ability to trade, freely, without some government bureaucrat telling you that you can't do it. And the other thing that's extremely important; the fourth thing: is a culture of trust. A culture that respects other people. A culture where work is dignified.
