Most businesses still buy their phones from one company and their antivirus from another.

On paper it looks fine. In practice it creates friction.

Two invoices. Two support numbers.

And when something breaks, whether it’s a call quality issue or an endpoint alert, nobody owns the full picture. Time gets lost between suppliers.

The alternative is simpler: one partner for both voice and endpoint protection.
Hosted PBX and Kaspersky endpoint security under one relationship means clearer ownership, fewer handoffs, and less admin for your team.

When something needs attention, there’s one place to call.

Reliable voice. Protected endpoints. One relationship.

If this is something your business is dealing with, comment β€œreview” and we'll send over a short Security + Communications Review.

Voice and endpoint security shouldn’t be managed by two different suppliers who never talk to each other.

We’ve been packaging Hosted PBX with Kaspersky for businesses that want one partner, clear accountability, and fewer things that can go wrong in a day. I

If you’re still juggling separate contracts for phones and antivirus, swipe through and then book a short review.

Two questions, and most businesses can answer the first one to the cent and the second one not at all.

So do it by hand. It takes less than a minute.

Take your average deal value. Multiply by the number of inbound calls you get in a week. Assume you miss one in ten β€” that’s conservative. Assume a quarter of those were people who would have bought. Multiply across fifty-two weeks.

That’s your number.

Nearly everyone I’ve done this with lands on a figure larger than what they spend on the technology that would have caught those calls. Often by a wide margin. And unlike most marketing arithmetic, this is demand you have already paid to generate.

If the number bothers you, the fix is not complicated: Cloud PBX from R49 an extension, routing that matches how you actually work, failover so a line fault doesn’t become a revenue event, and an AI voice agent on the hours nobody is covering.

Innovo Talk in the comments. Work out your number first.

Here's a ninety-second story that happens in South African businesses every single day.

Someone finds you, through an ad you paid for, or a listing you maintain. They call. It rings. Nobody picks up. They hang up, call the next business on the list, and book with them instead.

You will never know it happened. There's no complaint and no record. And that's exactly why this problem survives in businesses that are otherwise very well run.

Innovo Talk starts at R49 per extension and handles the boring, important part: making sure the call reaches a human, or reaches something useful when it can't.

None of these five things ever appear on a report.

That's what they have in common, and it's why they persist in otherwise well-run businesses.

Look at number four for a moment, because it's the one that has changed fastest.

A meaningful share of South African customers would rather send a WhatsApp than make a call, and will judge you on how fast you reply to it.

If your voice system and your messaging live in different places, run by different people, then that customer is having two separate relationships with your business and neither one is going well.

That's the argument for omni-channel, and it isn't a technology argument. It's the difference between a customer who has to repeat themselves and one who doesn't.

Which of these five is costing you the most?

Genuinely curious, comment below. πŸ‘‡

A missed call is the only failure in a business that generates no evidence.

A lost deal has a reason attached to it. A complaint has a ticket. A churned customer has a conversation. A missed call has nothing β€” the person on the other end simply calls someone else, and both of you carry on with your day.

That's why it survives. Not because businesses don't care about it, but because nothing in the system ever reports it.

Ask your team one question this week: what happens to a call that comes in at 12:45 when everyone is at lunch?

The answer is usually a shrug, and the shrug is the problem.

Your biggest cybersecurity vulnerability might already be inside your business.

And nobody knows it's there.

It could be:

β†’ An old employee account that's still active
β†’ Weak or reused passwords
β†’ A user without multi-factor authentication
β†’ Unmanaged laptops or mobile devices
β†’ Excessive access permissions
β†’ An untested backup
β†’ An unsecured third-party connection
β†’ An employee who hasn't been trained to recognise phishing

Individually, these can look like small issues.

Together, they create exposure.

And cybercriminals don't necessarily need to β€œhack” their way through sophisticated security.

Sometimes they simply need to find the gap nobody noticed.

That's why cybersecurity should start with understanding your risk.

Innovo Networks helps businesses identify vulnerabilities across their technology environment and understand where additional protection may be needed.

How exposed is your business?

Find the gaps before somebody else does.

02/10/2026

β€œAre we secure?”

It's a reasonable question. I'm just not convinced it's the most useful one.

I'd rather ask: Where are we exposed?

And:

Could we recover if something happened tomorrow?

Cybersecurity isn't simply about preventing attacks.

It's about understanding your risks and being prepared when something goes wrong.

πŸ” Your biggest cybersecurity risk might not look like a cyber risk.

One of our professional services clients had already experienced a ransomware scare.

So we took a closer look.

What we found?

Three staff passwords had been compromised and were already visible on the dark web.

That's the thing about cybersecurity. The biggest risks aren't always obvious.

It could be an old account.
A compromised password.
An unmanaged device.
A gap nobody knew was there.

For this client, we deployed EDR across their devices and put 24/7 SOC monitoring** in place within a week.

Now they have continuous monitoring and a much stronger layer of protection around the business.

The lesson?

Don't wait for the next security incident to discover where you're exposed.

Cybersecurity risks don't always look suspicious.

Sometimes they look like:

πŸ’» An old user account
πŸ“§ A convincing email
πŸ”‘ A reused password
πŸ“± An unmanaged device
☁️ Too much system access
πŸ’Ύ A backup nobody has tested

Small gaps can create big exposure.
