One of the best parts of joining the HEICO family this past April has been getting to know the incredible companies that make up the organization’s growing portfolio of more than 70+ acquired businesses.

During , members of the Southwest Antennas Sales & Marketing team had the opportunity to visit a fellow HEICO company, Radiant Power / Dukane Seacom, at their Sarasota, Florida facility. We toured their operation, learned more about their engineering capabilities, and saw firsthand how they support aerospace and defense customers around the world.

They specialize in mission-critical technologies including emergency power systems, power distribution and control products, battery backup solutions, cockpit displays, location beacons, energy storage systems, and custom electronics for aviation, defense, and aerospace applications.

As we learned more about their solutions, it became clear that many of the customers we serve share similar requirements. If your team is developing aircraft, unmanned systems, or other mission-critical platforms and needs customized power, display, instrumentation, or locator beacon solutions, Radiant Power / Dukane Seacom are excellent resources to know.

After an extraordinary career of invention, innovation, service, and leadership, we celebrate the retirement of our founder, Leslie J. Reading.

As a U.S. Navy veteran, Les started Southwest Antennas in a small garage with a simple mission: provide reliable RF / Microwave communications for those who depend on them most.

Over the past 21 years, his pioneering antenna designs have helped shape the RF industry and set the standard for performance and quality.

Beyond his technical achievements, Les strived to build a culture of excellence, mentorship, and problem-solving that continues to define Southwest Antennas today.

One of his greatest legacies is the talented engineering team he developed and inspired, ensuring the company is stronger than ever and ready for the future.

Please join us in thanking Les for his remarkable contributions and wishing him a well-deserved retirement.

Southwest Antennas Joins the HEICO Corporation Family

POWAY, CA / April 8, 2026 / Southwest Antennas, Inc. (“SWA”), a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance RF and microwave antennas, today announced that it has joined the HEICO Corporation family as part of HEICO’s Electronic Technologies Group.

The transaction represents a significant milestone in Southwest Antennas’ continued growth and expansion. Under the agreement, HEICO has acquired a majority ownership interest in SWA, while CEO Ben Culver retains a minority stake and will continue to lead the company.

Founded in 2005, Southwest Antennas specializes in rugged, mission-critical antenna solutions supporting military and public safety communications, as well as unmanned systems applications. The company’s products are widely deployed in demanding operational environments, where performance and reliability are essential.

“Joining the HEICO family represents an exciting new chapter for Southwest Antennas,” said Ben Culver, President and CEO of Southwest Antennas. “HEICO’s long-term approach, strong culture, and commitment to innovation align closely with our values. This partnership enhances our ability to invest in new technologies and better serve our customers.”

HEICO leadership also expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting Southwest Antennas’ strong reputation and technical expertise within the antenna market.

As part of HEICO’s Electronic Technologies Group, Southwest Antennas will benefit from additional resources, operational support, and strategic opportunities, while continuing to operate with the same leadership, team, and customer-focused approach that has driven its success.

Southwest Antennas will continue to operate from its headquarters in Poway, California, maintaining its 25,000-square-foot facility and its team of more than 110 employees. The company will remain focused on delivering innovative RF and microwave solutions, including antennas operating up to 8.5 GHz, as well as complementary products such as mounting systems, block downconverters, low-noise amplifiers, and filter modules.
