Certainly a year we hope not to ever repeat in the hotel industry.

2021 is about analysing, strategising, and implementing recovery actions using data based decisions. The whole world has negative 2020 numbers for tourism. Negative, but extremely relevant to help navigate the future and how ypur business has landed in compared to the competition.

Wishing all partners a successful 2021.

Great presentations by KPMG Iceland and the Icelandic Tourist Board this morning and looking forward to the Promote Iceland online meeting this afternoon. Recovery planning going on all over!

At BA we are excited that there is a lot of effort being made to analyse the market and strategize for a Post-Covid and "new normal" market.

Here is a snapshot of how Reykjavik is performing against the Nordic/Baltic capitals. Not very positive numbers - but very important data to be following.

Our goal for Iceland is to increase data contributors in Accommodation, Restaurants, and Spas all over the country and support the industry with key figures and comparisons that can be used by individual companies and industry stakeholders.
