🚀 What Is a Steam Accumulator? Why Is It Used in Steam Systems?
In many industrial steam systems, the peak steam demand is often much higher than the boiler's continuous evaporation capacity.
A common solution is to install a larger boiler.
However, this is not always the most economical or efficient approach.
A Steam Accumulator stores thermal energy as hot water under pressure during low-demand periods and releases additional steam when demand suddenly increases. This allows the boiler to continue operating at a stable load while the accumulator handles short-term peak consumption.
Typical applications include:
✔ Food & Beverage Industry
✔ Palm Oil Mills
✔ Textile & Dyeing Plants
✔ Paper Mills
✔ Chemical Processing
✔ Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
✔ District Heating Systems
