Using the Client Credentials grant in , , or apps exposes a fundamental trust issue: public clients cannot safely protect a client_secret.

Once embedded, those credentials can be extracted and reused to request valid access tokens, impersonate the application, and reach protected APIs.

The account endpoint accepted the token from the intercepted custom-scheme URI. At that point, the malicious handler had everything needed to complete the login flow outside the legitimate app.

That's Android deep-link hijacking.

ANOTHER STOP @ Adversary Village!!

Attackers are hijacking exposed inference endpoints for free compute.
Redon Gashi & Armend Gashi showed how, and released โœŒ tools to do it.

1. Infreerence, which finds exposed endpoints and leaked API keys.
2. Echidna, a C2 agent that weaponizes them.

Shots from Redon Gashi and Armend Gashi's talk at Recon Village. ๐Ÿ“ธ

Their talk hit on something a bit uncomfortable, showing that thousands of inference endpoints are just sitting exposed on the internet, waiting to be hijacked. Attackers find the leaked keys, tap into the resources, and suddenly they've got free compute for their entire operation.

The iconic duo (as we call them) also released โœŒ tools:
1. Infreerence, which finds exposed endpoints and leaked API keys.
2. Echidna, a C2 agent that weaponizes them.

Living off someone else's compute, this is the era's resource hijacking.

Frontier is turning hacker labor into a defensive layer.
Robert Shala explored this tension in the Creator Talk at Policy @ DEF CON, arguing that AI security can't be just a corporate exercise. If AI affects labor, speech, art, and institutions globally, it needs international public-interest security obligations. It needs hackers asking hard questions, and it needs accountability. ๐Ÿช™
(yeah, he clearly has a dream).

The energy was fantastic!! Thank you to everyone who showed up, engaged with the research, and pushed back on the hard questions.
(Looking forward to making this dream a reality).

Drinor Selmanaj, Sentry's co-founder, discovered CVE-2026-20685, a path traversal vulnerability in Apple's Private Cloud Compute, the inference backbone powering Intelligence.

This is what "Sentry Applied Research Center" (SARC) exists to do, evaluate the systems that matter most as moves into everyday life.

Private Cloud Compute handles some of the most sensitive compute on the planet. It underwrites the privacy guarantees behind Apple Intelligence.

โ™ž And that's what we do BEST at . Find what others miss and raise the bar for security.
