Why does Shopee's app look like a Vietnamese market exploded on your screen? 🛍️🎪
Banners everywhere. Flash sales. Coin shakes. Deals stacked on deals.
A lot of Western designers would call it "bad UX."
But Shopee? They call it intentional.
Here's the thing: walk into Bến Thành Market. Or any chợ across Vietnam. Products are literally everywhere. Color. Noise. Energy. Overlapping vendors. It's chaotic and it's PERFECT.
And Vietnamese people LOVE that kind of shopping. The hunt. The discovery. The feeling of "omg I found a deal."
Shopee didn't copy Amazon. They copied the chợ.
And that's why they're winning 🔥
The brands that struggle in Vietnam are usually the ones who bring their clean, minimalist, "global standard" UX here and wonder why no one's engaging.
Because localization isn't just about language. It's about feeling.
When your app/website/ad feels like home to your user — that's when you stop being a product and start being a habit.
