One of the biggest changes during this COVID pandemic is the impact on office work and what will be the and the . Here in Vietnam, IT professionals have discussed and debated this question with their work and in their community CIO Vietnam.

Remote working has been with us a long time born from the dot-com in Silicon Valley. However, mainstream corporations have also adopted many of these arrangements into their business operations as a practical need, especially in Asia post SARS pandemic. It is pretty standard for BCPs and IT DRPs to include the ability to work away from the office and in alternative sites or remotely.

Ars Technica has a good series on this phenomena since the 2020 when the pandemic was new and raging globally.

IMD published its always interesting World Digital Competitiveness Ranking for 2021. Unfortunately Vietnam did not make it on the ranking although some of its ASEAN neighbors such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand have. Hopefully Vietnam can reach there.
