Yesterday broke early. ☕

Coffee on my shirt by 8. Bus gone at 8:20. By noon, my to-do list looked like a crime scene.

So last night I did the only thing that still made sense: I watched something beautiful fall apart — then put it back together. Piece by piece. On purpose.

Nothing outside got fixed. But something inside did.

Some days shatter. Mending them is allowed to feel this good. 🧩

Hôm qua là một ngày hỏng từ sáng sớm. ☕

8 giờ đổ cà phê lên áo. 8 giờ 20 lỡ xe buýt. Tới trưa thì cái to-do list nhìn như hiện trường vụ án.

Nên tối qua mình làm điều duy nhất còn thấy hợp lý: ngồi nhìn một thứ thật đẹp vỡ tan — rồi tự tay ghép nó lành lại. Từng mảnh một. Một cách cố ý.

Chẳng có gì ngoài kia được sửa. Nhưng có gì đó bên trong thì có.

Có những ngày cứ thế vỡ vụn. Và việc hàn gắn chúng lại được phép dễ chịu tới mức này. 🧩

I had the softest dream last night. 🌙

A little light slipped out of a cabin window, at the edge of a frozen lake. It drifted through the dark — and every piece of the world it touched woke up. The pines. The mountains. The moon.

And when it reached the sky, the northern lights caught fire.

Then my alarm went off.

It took me half the morning to figure out where that dream came from: the little puzzle I'd played before bed. Apparently my brain liked the ending so much, it decided to replay it.

Đêm qua mình mơ một giấc mơ dịu ơi là dịu. 🌙

Có một đốm sáng nhỏ lẻn ra khỏi ô cửa sổ căn cabin bên hồ băng. Nó trôi qua màn đêm — và từng mảnh thế giới nó chạm vào đều thức dậy. Rặng thông. Dãy núi. Vầng trăng.

Và khi nó chạm tới bầu trời, cực quang bùng cháy.

Rồi báo thức reo.

Mất nửa buổi sáng mình mới nhận ra giấc mơ đó từ đâu ra: cái màn puzzle nhỏ chơi trước khi ngủ tối qua. Chắc não mình ưng cái kết tới mức quyết định chiếu lại lần nữa.

Everyone who's ever done a puzzle knows this: you don't rush the last piece. 🧩

The whole bay was finished — emerald water, limestone cliffs, a golden sky. But my eye kept sliding past all of it, straight to the one dark hole where the sails should be.

Funny how we ignore everything that's done and stare at the one thing that isn't.

So I held that final piece a little longer than I needed to. Turned it over. Made it wait.

Click.

The sails caught the sunset, the water lit up, and something in my chest quietly clicked into place too.

Some days you can't fix everything. But you can finish one small, beautiful thing.

Buồn cười thật, mình chẳng bao giờ nhìn những thứ đã hoàn thành — chỉ chằm chằm vào cái thứ duy nhất còn dang dở.

Thế là mình cầm mảnh cuối lâu hơn cần thiết một chút. Xoay xoay nó. Bắt nó chờ.

Tách.

Cánh buồm bắt nắng, mặt nước sáng bừng lên, và có gì đó trong lồng ngực mình cũng khẽ khớp vào đúng chỗ.

Có những ngày chẳng sửa nổi mọi thứ. Nhưng luôn có thể hoàn thành trọn vẹn một điều nhỏ xíu, đẹp đẽ.

It was one of those evenings. Too tired to do anything, too wired to sleep. You know the kind. 🌙

So I opened a puzzle. Just one, I told myself.

At first it was nothing — a gray sky, a mountain with no shape, scattered pieces of something that used to be beautiful.

Then the colors started coming back. A bit of gold here. A cherry blossom there. And when the last piece landed, the whole sunset lit up like it had been waiting for me all along. 🌅

I sat there for a second. Didn't check my phone notifications. Didn't think about tomorrow. Just... watched.

That's it. That's the whole story. Some nights, putting one small thing back together is enough.

Rồi màu sắc bắt đầu quay về. Một chút vàng chỗ này. Một nhành hoa anh đào chỗ kia. Và khi mảnh cuối cùng đặt xuống, cả vùng hoàng hôn sáng bừng lên — như thể nó đã đợi mình từ nãy giờ. 🌅

Mình ngồi im một lúc. Không check thông báo. Không nghĩ tới ngày mai. Chỉ... nhìn thôi.

Vậy đó. Hết chuyện rồi. Có những buổi tối, chỉ cần ghép lại một thứ nhỏ xíu cho lành lặn, là đủ.
