Big news from the OmegaTheme team - we are officially SOC 2 certified. πŸŽ‰

SOC 2 is one of the most recognized security and compliance certifications in the world, developed by the AICPA. Earning it means an independent auditor has verified that our systems and processes meet strict standards for how we handle, protect, and manage customer data.

For a team building 30+ apps used by 100,000+ merchants across Shopify, Wix, and Shopline - this is a milestone we are genuinely proud of.

To every merchant and partner who trusts OmegaTheme with their store data: this one is for you. πŸ™

Great way to start the morning. β˜€οΈ

We were glad to welcome the GemPages team to the OmegaTheme office this morning.

We spent the morning getting to know each other's products more deeply, sharing where each team is headed, and mapping out how the two sides can work together in a way that actually means something for the merchants we both build for. ShopX 2026 was naturally part of that conversation - as a shared stage, it is a good place to start.

Today was the opening chapter of what we expect to be a long-term partnership. Looking forward to what comes next.

[PARTNERSHIP] OmegaTheme x Wealify

OmegaTheme is partnering with Wealify to make cross-border commerce smoother for Shopify sellers.

Running a global ecommerce business means dealing with two financial realities at the same time: getting paid from international platforms, and spending money on the ad channels and tools that keep the business running. For most Vietnamese sellers, those two things happen through separate, disconnected systems - with fees, delays, and friction at every step.

Wealify brings both sides into one ecosystem. Their Global Account lets sellers receive payments from 13+ international platforms including Etsy, PayPal, and Payoneer, then transfer directly to Vietnamese or overseas bank accounts. Their Virtual Cards handle the spending side - Volcano Card for SaaS subscriptions and everyday online purchases, and Zenith Card for running Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and TikTok Ads at scale with cashback up to 0.8%.

Together with OmegaTheme's suite of 30+ Shopify apps trusted by 100,000+ merchants, this partnership is about removing the operational friction that gets in the way of growing a sustainable cross-border business.

More details on what this partnership means for merchants coming soon.

Most TikTok tracking setups have at least one thing quietly wrong. Not broken enough to throw an error. Just wrong enough to mess up your numbers for weeks. 😬

Here's what's usually going on beneath the surface πŸ‘‡

πŸ” Duplicate events - Pixel and Events API both firing without a matching event_id means every purchase gets counted twice. ROAS inflates, bidding goes off-track, and nothing in the dashboard tells you it's happening.

🚫 Consent mode gaps - If your consent banner isn't wired to GTM triggers, the Pixel fires regardless of what visitors agreed to. Sites that get caught by enforcement see 40-60% of tracked conversions disappear overnight.

πŸ“„ Missing PageView - Trigger scoped to specific pages instead of all pages. Tiny config mistake, breaks baseline tracking across the whole site.

πŸ§ͺ GTM Preview works but live site doesn't - Almost always an unpublished container. Preview tests your workspace version, not what's actually live.

Running Pixel and Events API together correctly - with proper deduplication - captures 19% more events and improves CPA by 15% compared to Pixel alone. The conversions were always there. They were just being counted wrong.

We put together a full guide - 5-step GTM setup, how to verify everything is actually working, and a fix for every common issue.

EU sales in Q4 are a huge opportunity. But without the right foundation in place, more orders can actually mean thinner margins. πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί

Most Vietnamese sellers heading into peak season are still dealing with at least one of these:

πŸ˜“ Costs scaling faster than revenue during high season - margins getting squeezed exactly when order volume spikes
πŸ“‹ EU tax and documentation rules where one small mistake means shipments held up or legal risk
πŸ’» A website bringing in EU traffic but not converting - because buyer behavior and expectations in Europe are different
πŸ’Έ Cash flow stuck in Europe, or repatriation fees quietly eating into profit every time you move money back to Vietnam

Sound familiar?

Omegatheme is teaming up with Bavor Consulting, FForder, and WorldFirst for a focused offline workshop in Hanoi - built specifically to tackle these challenges before Q4 hits.

Here's what's on the agenda πŸ‘‡

πŸ“¦ FFOrder - How to sell well during Q4 in a volatile market
πŸ“‹ Bavor Consulting - Standardizing documentation + latest EU tax updates
πŸ’» Omegatheme - Optimizing your website for EU buyer behavior and conversion
πŸ’° WorldFirst - Standardizing EU cash flow and cutting cross-border repatriation costs

Four specialized speakers. One afternoon. Real answers you can act on before the biggest sales season of the year.

7 best Elevar alternatives for Shopify conversion tracking in 2026 - ranked, compared, and priced.

Because $225 a month for tracking is a number worth questioning before you renew.

Elevar is one of the best-known server-side tracking apps on Shopify - trusted by 6,500+ brands, strong reviews, genuinely powerful. But its pricing starts at $225 a month and scales to $3,000 a month based on order volume. The more your store grows, the higher the tracking bill. For most small and mid-sized stores, that is enterprise pricing for a problem that does not require an enterprise solution.

Server-side tracking solves one specific problem: ad blockers, iOS restrictions, and cookie loss that silently erase 30-40% of the conversions your client-side pixels should be capturing. That problem does not get more expensive to solve at 10,000 orders than it does at 1,000. Elevar's pricing does.

Here is how the seven alternatives break down:

TagFly - flat $9.99-$14.99/month, 9 destinations, native server-side without a separate Stape or GCP server
Stape - best for developers who want full control over a custom sGTM container
Analyzify - done-for-you expert setup, starts around $145/month
Littledata - built for subscription and Recharge brands
Aimerce - first-party cookie extension for email and retargeting attribution
WeltPixel - no-GTM flat-rate option for core channels
GroPulse - 1-click GTM deployment with server-side at $29.99/month

The benchmark that makes the decision clear: at 10,000 monthly orders, Elevar's Advanced plan is $650 a month. TagFly stays at $14.99 a month for the same core server-side coverage across 9 ad destinations.

Full comparison, migration guide, and head-to-head breakdown in the comments.

Omegatheme will be joining ShopX 2026 as a Gold Sponsor πŸŽ‰

ShopX 2026 is an AI-native ecommerce summit happening September 17 in Saigon, Vietnam, co-organized by GemPages, EFE Network, and co-hosted by ShopOS and Pengu Studio - four teams who know APAC ecommerce from the inside. Last year drew 250+ operators, nearly 20 speakers, and 17 sponsors in one room. This year the focus sharpens on practical AI workflows - real use cases, real decisions, real ex*****on.

So why is Omegatheme showing up?

For over 18 years, we have been helping ecommerce merchants solve the challenges that matter most. Our ecosystem of 30+ apps across Shopify, Wix, and SHOPLINE 香港 is trusted by 100,000+ merchants worldwide, backed by 10,000+ reviews. Every product we have shipped started with understanding what merchants genuinely needed.

Events like ShopX give us something no data report can: real conversations with the operators who are living these challenges every day. How are they thinking about AI? What workflows are actually working? What problems are still unsolved? That kind of insight shapes better products. πŸ› οΈ

We are also excited about what this year's lineup is shaping up to be. Practical sessions, a curated room, and a growing APAC ecommerce community that is moving fast - especially on the AI side.

If you are a Shopify merchant, operator, or ecommerce builder in APAC and you have been thinking about attending ShopX 2026, we hope to see you there in September.

Shopify just dropped another App Store policy update - and this one affects app names directly. πŸ‘€

Published July 15, 2026, requirement 4.1.2 now requires every Shopify app to have a unique name anchored to a distinctive brand identifier. Identical names, copycat names, and anything that misleads merchants by resembling another app or brand are now a formal violation.

Here's what happens if you're non-compliant:

πŸ“‹ Shopify notifies the affected developer
⏰ A defined timeframe is given to rename and comply
🚫 Failure to comply may result in being delisted from the App Store

Enforcement rolls out gradually in waves - so not every violation gets flagged immediately. But the process is already running.

What this means depending on your situation πŸ‘‡

If your app name is too close to a competitor's - start planning a rename now, before the notification arrives. Acting proactively is far less stressful than responding under a deadline.

If you're submitting a new app - this is now a hard requirement at review, not optional. Pick a name that clearly represents your own brand.

If a competitor is copying your name - Shopify can only act on reports with a valid registered trademark attached. Worth knowing before you file anything.

This is the second major App Store policy update in July alone, following the review incentivization crackdown announced earlier this month. Shopify is systematically tightening quality standards across the store.

For developers building real products under their own brand - the playing field keeps getting cleaner.

One customer bought 200 units of your best-selling product. You celebrated the sale. Your next 500 visitors got an out-of-stock page. 😬

This happens more than most merchants expect - resellers, bulk buyers, or simply one very motivated shopper clearing your inventory before anyone else gets a chance.

Without purchase limits in place, your checkout has no guardrails. Order limit apps solve this. But the right one depends on your specific situation πŸ‘‡

πŸ”’ Preventing resellers? You need per-customer limits that apply across multiple orders, not just a cart-level cap a savvy buyer can get around by placing separate transactions

🏭 Running B2B alongside retail? You need tiered rules that treat wholesale accounts differently from regular customers, not a single restriction that creates friction for your best buyers

πŸ“¦ Managing varied inventory risk? You need collection and variant-level control so you're not applying one blanket rule that confuses customers buying normal quantities

The apps that handle these scenarios well are built around flexible rule logic rather than simple number inputs.

With global eCommerce sales projected to hit $6.88 trillion in 2026, protecting your inventory and ensuring fair access for all customers has become a real competitive advantage - not just an admin task.

We reviewed 8 of the best Shopify order limit apps, comparing features, pricing, and which store types each one actually fits.
