Breast cancer is closer to our lives than many of us realize. πŸŽ€ 🌸 πŸ’•

With approximately 1 in 8 women developing breast cancer during their lifetime, awareness is important for every woman, regardless of whether there is a family history of the disease.

Knowing your personal risk can help you make informed decisions about screening and breast health.

This October, start a conversation with your healthcare provider about your risk factors and what they mean for you.

The more you know, the better prepared you are to act.

You may not be able to change every risk factor for breast cancer, but some everyday choices can help reduce your risk.🌸 πŸ’—

Being physically active, maintaining a healthy weight and limiting alcohol consumption are among the steps that can support better breast health.
No lifestyle choice can guarantee prevention, but making informed decisions gives us an opportunity to take greater control of our wellbeing.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, consider one healthy change you can make and maintain beyond October.

When everyone needs your time, it can be easy to forget that you need some of it too.πŸŽ€ 🩷

Between work, family and everyday responsibilities, women often put their own health at the bottom of the list.

But your well-being deserves the same attention you give to everyone else.
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, One Communications USVI is encouraging women to make time for their breast health, schedule recommended screenings and take care of themselves.

You matter too.

What difference can early detection make?πŸ’— πŸŽ€

When breast cancer is found at an early stage, the chances of successful treatment are significantly higher.

That is why screening matters, even when you feel perfectly healthy.
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are reminding women that a mammogram is an opportunity to detect changes early and take action when treatment may be most effective.

Give yourself the advantage of knowing sooner.

One decision can make a difference.πŸ’—πŸŽ€

For many women, scheduling a mammogram is something they intend to do but keep postponing. Yet that one appointment could provide important information about their breast health.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an opportunity to change that.
If you are due for a mammogram, make the appointment. If someone you love has been putting it off, encourage her to speak with her healthcare provider.

One screening could make a meaningful difference. πŸ’—

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and One Communications USVI is joining the call for greater awareness, earlier detection and more conversations about breast health. πŸ’•πŸ’—

Throughout this month, we are encouraging women across the US Virgin Islands to make their health a priority.

For women aged 40 and older, regular mammograms are an important part of early detection. Knowing when to begin screening and how often to return can make a meaningful difference.

This October, let's turn awareness into action. Speak with your healthcare provider about the screening schedule that is right for you.
