Everyone wants their device repaired in 30 minutes, but that's just not possible when you're a one man band specializing in a variety of devices and technical issues. Keep in mind that you're not the only person getting a device repaired, and repairs are done in order that they are received. The photo attached is only 40% of the devices pending. Didn't include xbox, handhelds, desktops, macbooks, laptops, cameras, and other devices.

iPhone 12 pro max with cellular issue. Some might think it's an antenna or SIM slot but most of the time it's never that simple. This one, water damage. Both top and lower board sustained water damage. Had to rebuild traces and replace components to get cellular working again.

Educational Post.

Not every repair shop will be honest with customers because many times you're honest, you will lose customers. Example: If you say you're installing a Chinese screen for $100, customer might say they want original but then original is very expensive so they will not aggree with the repair so you tell them its $100 for original. To protect yourself and keep your reputation strong you should always be honest. There are times you have to be dishonest because it's the only thing that will make a customer understand.

When it comes to replacement parts, there are many different grades. Some businesses will let you choose what you want based on the amount you're willing to spend. A good example of this is Rock Auto. Unfortunately, here at Ubreakitifixit we don't give customers that option. We only work with high quality or original parts. Aftermarket parts for devices are not the same as aftermarket parts for vehicles. We want to provide the best parts and service possible so you won't have to return with complaints. Some repair shops will tell you they are installing original parts when it's cheap aftermarket parts and you as the consumer will never know whats being installed unless you take it to another location to be inspected.

Logically speaking you can't expect to repair a $1200 device that needs a replacement screen for less than $100. You as the consumer might not care about the quality of the part but it's good to know what you're paying for. The three screen replacements listed are aftermarket, refurbished original and new original. There is a big price difference between aftermarket and original. These prices vary based on supplier, demand or availability. When you call or visit our location, the price of the repair you are given will be original or original refurbished. So please keep this in mind. Not because our prices are higher than other locations, doesn't mean we are trying to take advantage. We believe in quality service and only want to provide quality parts.

came in all Hulk smashed. Luckily, the major damage to the board happened in between the two most vital components, Nand and CPU. The customer's data is secured after doing a swap.

total destruction! Forgot to ask what happened, but my guess would be it got run over or smashed to a wall. Back glass, frame, and lcd replaced. Just like when a totaled car is restored and you can't tell it was ever in an accident. We probably need someone to create a phonefax website.....

Macbook came in with no type of life.... Took it apart, and the corrosion said hello! Microchip circled in red had to be removed, cleaned, and reballed. It was shorting to ground due to corrosion.
