Simple and Superb - the new KEF LS LUXE
We are fans of KEF's ever-popular and award-winning LS Wireless speaker systems - and for good reason. They've simplified performance audio. LS speakers offer high-end performance in a self-amplified, self-contained streaming music package. Just add a source - even from your mobile phone, and you are transported to music heaven.
The latest in this series is the new LS LUXE. It delivers the sonic goods via a series of KEF evolved innovations. First, the patented Uni-Q technology places each speaker's tweeter in the acoustic center of the bass/midrange cone. That lets the LS LUXE create a detailed, accurate, three-dimensional sound image. In essence, it makes the "sweet spot" — the ideal listening position — much larger. Sit wherever you like and it sounds fantastic. The LUXE Uni-Q is a 6.5" mid-range, a significant step-up in bass and output over the 5.25" in the LS50 Wireless II.
LS LUXE also benefits from KEF's innovative Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT). It's a complex, mazelike structure that's tuned to absorb unwanted sound coming from the rear of the tweeter. The resulting sound is clear, purer, and more detailed.
LS speakers also look fabulous. The LUXE pair features sculpted, organic-looking cabinets created in collaboration with Ross Lovegrove, the industrial designer responsible for KEF's award-winning, ultra-high-end Muon speakers. Lovegrove's grille-less design shows off the cool-looking driver array and super-stylish color options. LS LUXE's durable, rounded shape also helps sound radiate outward without distortion. The LUXE comes in Eclipse Black, Dusk Titanium, and Mineral White.
Now on display at Woodbridge Stereo, alongside all of the LS speakers. The LUXE are $4000 per pair.
