Towboat Tuesday: M/V Mike Schmaeng edition. This vessel was part of the Midland Enterprises acquisition in 2002 and has kept its original name. Mike Schmaeng was a Port Engineer for Federal Barge Lines, which was acquired by Midland Enterprises in 1984.

The M/V Mike Schmaeng is an 1,800-horsepower, twin screw towboat measuring 86 feet in length and 31 feet in width. It was built in 1981 by Inland Marine Constructors in Evansville, Indiana.
