EMBER Audio + Design

EMBER Audio + Design EMBER Audio + Design is a HiFi stereo shop, modern furniture store and modern/pop art gallery, located in downtown Winston-Salem, NC.

We are a classic, every-customer-matters, stereo shop that is always growing and evolving to meet our customers needs and our own needs to play with really neat toys! We believe in in-home auditions, learning new things all the time, loving music and film, art and great design. We like to experiment with brands and see how different things fit together. We welcome input, feedback and requests. Most of all, we're here to help if you have any questions about anything audio or video related!

From a single sofa to an entire home, our design consultations are tailored to wherever you are in your process!

This total design project was 2 years in the making from our initial conversation to the final delivery and staging of each carefully selected piece.

Located in High Point, NC, this beautiful modern home is a study in thoughtful design brought to life through a collection of authentic, original pieces. After getting to know this client’s wants, needs, and style, we drew inspiration from Villa Tugendhat, Mies van der Rohe’s iconic home in Brno, Czech Republic and adopted the less is more approach to achieve quiet, timeless luxury and turned his home into a personal showroom of original and iconic design.

We know that furnishing a room or an entire home can feel daunting and time consuming. Our goal is to take that stress off your hands and turn the process into something inspiring, collaborative, and fun!

Whether you’re searching for the perfect armchair or ready to reimagine your space, we’d love to help. Reach out to us or stop by to learn about our design consultations and how we can assist with your next project!

We have to say goodbye to our favorite sofa 🥲

With this sofa now no longer in production, it is truly a collectors item. The Barber Osgerby Sofa, drawing reference to the iconic Florence Knoll Sofa, was designed to express a harmonious marriage of architectural form with the tactile quality of soft furnishings.

The contrast between the blue textile and the red coral feet is *chef’s kiss*

A fresh pair of *beautiful* Wilson Audio Specialties, Inc. Yvette’s have been traded in, and while we’re going to polish them, update the resistors, and all that jazz - we went ahead and popped them out of their crates in order to share them with the world!

The Yvette is a fixed-baffle powerhouse, but features inherent time-alignment. Dynamics are as always, a highlight, and this is one of the easier Wilson products to deploy in a mixed-use space, which serves its authority well.

In the modern open-floorplans of our shared living areas, a speaker like the Yvette excels, offering generous, easy output at all volumes in larger areas without necessarily dominating the room they’re in.

As with all Certified Authentic Wilson Pre-owned Trade In’s, these will undergo a full multipoint inspection, polish and tightening of all the variables. This pair is complete and its new owner will benefit from a three year warranty.

They should be ready to listen to within the week, so if you’re keen to hear them, reach out!
