What does an AI agent need to execute a finance transaction correctly. In every country, every time?

Context. And that's exactly what the Sovos Graph provides.

The Sovos Graph is a unified intelligence layer built on three interconnected components: an Entity Network of 600 million+ businesses worldwide, identity-mapped and ready to transact; Transaction Intelligence that creates a connected view of every buy and sell-side activity across the enterprise; and Regulatory Knowledge that maps every tax rule, schema, filing deadline, and mandate in every jurisdiction where a business operates.

When an AI agent acts on a transaction, the Sovos Graph answers four questions in seconds: What is this? What happened? What rules apply? What should happen next? 🔍

That's the foundation of Agentic Compliant Finance.

France e-invoicing mandate: Sovos brings Global 2000 clients live one month early.

France's e-invoicing reform takes effect September 1, 2026. Which requires all established companies to receive e-invoices, with large and medium enterprises also obligated to issue and transmit transaction data in near real time to France's tax authority via accredited platforms. 💻

We have already moved several Global 2000 clients live in France, a full month before the mandate deadline. On day one, we expect to cover tens of thousands of end-user clients across direct enterprise accounts, major BPO and managed services providers, and software platforms that embed Sovos for e-invoicing and VAT.

One thing to note is that non-compliance carries real exposure: penalties start at 10% of VAT due for late submissions and escalate to 80% for repeat violations. Invoices that don't meet France's requirements are invalidated — and can result in a suspension of all trade.

If your business operates in France and hasn't confirmed a compliant path forward, the September deadline doesn't move. Contact us to assess your readiness now. 🦉

Every transaction your business processes has a tax obligation attached to it. The rate, the rule, and the filing requirement depend on what you sold, where you sold it, and who bought it — and those variables multiply fast when you operate across more than one jurisdiction.

For companies operating across multiple jurisdictions, managing indirect tax has traditionally meant maintaining large rules libraries, manually tracking regulatory changes, and dedicating significant internal resources to making sure nothing falls through the cracks. When a rate changes in a new jurisdiction, or a country updates its e-invoicing format, someone on your team has to catch it.

AI changes that operating model. Continuous monitoring flags regulatory updates as they happen. Automated tax determination applies the right rules at the transaction level without manual intervention. And instead of reviewing compliance retroactively, finance teams can validate positions in real time.

Our blog post covers what indirect tax actually is — across the major tax types and regions — and what AI-assisted compliance looks like in practice for companies managing obligations across multiple countries.

If you're early in evaluating how AI fits into your tax function, or if you're explaining the category to stakeholders, this is a useful starting point. 📖

Tax authorities already have a structured, transaction-level view of your compliance data. The question Mirror Visibility™ answers is why your own team should have to wait for an audit to see it.

When a tax authority reviews your business, they're not looking at your internal reports. They're looking at transaction-level data — structured records that show every invoice, determination, and filing position you've taken, matched against the rules that apply to each one. Most compliance teams don't have that view of their own data. They work from summaries, exports, and reports built on top of the underlying transactions. That gap between what your team sees and what an auditor sees is where audit risk lives.

Mirror Visibility™ is a core capability of Sovos Intelligence. It surfaces your transaction data in the same structure tax authorities use to review it: jurisdiction-coded, determination-matched, and updated continuously as regulatory rules change. Your team sees what the auditor sees, before the audit starts. 🪞

In practice, that means mismatches between your filed positions and your transaction records show up in your system — not in a notice from the tax authority. It means your team can validate determinations against live regulatory data, not against a rules table that was last updated six months ago. And it means audit preparation becomes a standing operating procedure instead of a quarterly emergency.

Compliance confidence isn't about working harder. It's about working from the right data.

Your ERP wasn't built to track 65+ country e-invoicing mandates. It wasn't designed to update automatically when Brazil changes its NF-e schema or Italy updates its SDI requirements.

Sovos Compliance Network connects natively to SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud — and handles the regulatory updates on our side, not yours. When a mandate changes, your integration doesn't break.

Less ad hoc IT involvement. Fewer emergency compliance patches.

Your last audit didn't start when the notice arrived. It started the moment a tax authority's system flagged a mismatch between your filed position and your transaction data — weeks or months earlier, while your team was still working from a different picture.

Tax authorities see transaction-level data in real time — structured, jurisdiction-coded, and matched against every rule in their system. Until today, your compliance team was working from a different picture entirely.

Sovos Intelligence changes that. It gives your team the same view tax authorities have — not a summary, not a dashboard built on exports, but the actual transaction data structured the way regulators see it. That means you can spot mismatches before an auditor does, validate determinations against live regulatory data, and walk into any audit with confidence instead of a folder of spreadsheets.

We built Sovos Intelligence because compliance teams deserve the same visibility that governments already have. Today, they get it. 👁️

🚨 A major shift in global e-invoicing is underway.

Over the next 18 months, eight new mandates will take effect across Europe, the Middle East, and APAC, each with different models, platforms, and requirements.

For multinational businesses, this isn’t a one-time project. It’s a permanent operating condition. Today, Sovos announced the Compliance Network — a global e-invoicing and CTC platform built to manage that complexity.

• One platform across countries, formats, and mandates
• Built for continuous regulatory change
• Backed by decades of global CTC experience

From clearance models in France and Spain to Peppol networks in the UAE and beyond, compliance is only getting more fragmented.

Compliance Network brings it all together. So, businesses can stay compliant without disrupting operations.

Financial services organizations are built for compliance, but in recent years, expectations in indirect tax compliance are higher than ever.

Survey data from our recent report with CFO Dive shows that even organizations in financial services with well-established compliance functions are being pushed to operate with greater precision and at scale.

Financial services organizations are equipped for tax and compliance, but increased demand for real-time reporting and indirect tax compliance accuracy are exposing gaps in data alignment and system integration.

Leaders that strengthen their processes (including the right systems) to meet regulations will also find more opportunities to use accurate data more strategically.
