Black Legislative Day at the Capitol, 2/17, 10am - 2pm
Join us at the Capitol on Monday, February 17, 2025 for Black Legislative Day at the Capitol. Registration is $15 and open now. There will be speakers, informational vendors, and a lunch. There will be legislator updates and the Black History Month proclamation by Governor Kelly.

Ruby Bridges gave a great message to 900 youth. She told them of her journey at 6 years old going into an all white school. The NAACP knocked on doors looking for young people to attend the school, she was the only one who took the test, passed, attended. She was in a classroom all by herself and her teacher for the first year.
