What’s going on at Experience Lights?

Firstly, I (David) will be out of the office from June 17-July 2. Orders will continue to ship during this time, but email replies will be delayed. We are celebrating our 20 Year Anniversary in London!

So, why have I been a bit quiet? Well I’ve been heads down working on some very exciting things launching this year, but cant share just yet.

What’s happening otherwise?

(1) Pixel2AC - the perpetual delay. You’ve seen the product at minis - it is complete - but still not on the site yet, why? Because ive been too busy with other projects to close it out, but the new, improved, super awesome, Pixel2AC4 will launch this year.

(2) Genius - 2025 Editions are being produced as we speak, we will dive into this when I get back!

(3) Light Show Hub - I’ll be launching the new site soon.

(4) VIVID - 8 port pixel controller launching from Your Pixel Store

(5) 16 Channel LED controller launching from NEDs LEDs

Theres a couple more launches this year, and reflecting back, now i can see why im so exhausted. All work and no play makes David a dull boy.

The East Coast Christmas Show was pretty amazing — I'm back home now and already looking forward to 2026!

If you didn’t make it out, you missed out. This event was a mix of haunt and Christmas and was really well put together. I wish I had taken more pictures — on the first day, there was a line around the building an hour before opening.

PARTNER HIGHLIGHT

Experience Lights has had the privilege of partnering with some of the most awesome companies and people in the industry. I wanted to take a moment to highlight a few of those relationships I’m especially grateful for—starting with Light-O-Rama.

Most folks know Light-O-Rama as a provider of end-to-end lighting solutions (hardware and software), but what many don’t know is that their products can also integrate into shows running other platforms—like xLights. And even fewer people know they do a lot more than just AC lighting. They support pixels, triggers, have standalone players, and even (gasp) WiFi. [I added that part begrudgingly, because most people know my hate-hate relationship with WiFi in general :-P]
..I digress....

Light-O-Rama has been around for over 20 years, and are well known for delivering high-quality solutions for demanding commercial installs while still making software that’s approachable and easy to use for residential users. Their focus on usability is something we connect with because it’s a core principle for Experience Lights too.

You may have heard debates like “xLights vs Light-O-Rama,” but it’s not a correct comparison. xLights is sequencing software, Light-O-Rama is an entire suite (which also includes a sequencer); but, you can use xLights to control Light-O-Rama hardware—or use Light-O-Rama software to control your existing controllers. It's worth mentioning you also get top-tier customer support with Light-O-Rama as well. xLights is of course a fantastic and powerful sequencer, but it's only one piece of the much larger light show puzzle.

And yes, to repeat, Light-O-Rama supports both pixels and AC lighting. The Aurora Core pixel controller was designed by Experience Lights for Light-O-Rama, and if you wanted to dip your toe in the water, it would be a great addition to your show; plus you can get it fully assembled and ready to run. If you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s worth a look.

If you haven't been to a TransWorld show, one of my favorite things about them are the fun/social events! They really know how to do it up right. The East Coast Christmas Show coming up on April 26th is no different -- they have some seriously rad events planned.

(1) Hersheypark (where things are gonna be closed down just for TransWorld attendees)
(2) After Party at Arnold’s. This is a FREE event to attend, that doesn't require any transportation, because it's RIGHT THERE. It has food, go karts, rock wall, laser tag and 2 fully stocked cash bars! (which is where you will find me)
(3) Saturday has a Christmas light tour, where you can visit houses with lights still up, and take a tour of how they did it.

If you were on the fence - you really need to get on it, otherwise you're gonna have some serious FOMO. There's also some more forth coming information about fun stuff happening AT the event. 😉😉
