Software instruction - When I clean a computer I leave the security programs installed that I used for cleaning. It is important for computer users to know how and when to update these programs and run them in order to keep their computers clean in the future. To ensure people know how to use these programs, I will do one on one instruction with the computer user in how to use the programs. There is no extra charge for this instruction. The computer user can ask any questions they have about use of the programs or their computer in general during the instruction period. Usually it takes at least an hour to go over use of the programs. The used computers I sell also have convenience software and security programs installed and I provide the same type of instruction for persons buying computers from me. In the over ten years I've had this business, providing one on one instruction in the use of programs is the feature most people tell me makes my business different from other computer services in town. Most people tell me after they take their computers to other places, the service people simply hand back their computer and the user has no idea what security programs have been added to it by the cleaning service nor how to update or run them. In many cases the freshly cleaned computers from other services quickly get re-infected because the users don't understand how to keep them clean. The instruction I offer as a normal part of my business allows a user to gain enough knowledge to keep their own computers clean and stop paying cleaning fees routinely or worse yet have a security breach and lose money to a scammer or lose your identity. Other services - I also keep a small stock of accessory items for computers. These include computer monitors, routers, external hard drives and add in components like video cards.
