During the early nineties, as street skating took over from vert, Alex Moul came up in Europe with USA levels of progression. This photo of Alex nose blunt sliding a handrail from 1993, sums up skateboarding’s amazing leap forward during the period. 
Here seen riding Tom Penny’s debut pro model, Alex was greatly influential to next generations of talent, including Tom.

Let’s get one thing straight: there will be no slander, when it comes to skateboard LEGEND . I realize some of you certified clout-goblins, sitting around hugged up with ya Peter Griffin shaped baby Mama.. talking wild in these internet streets.

But, fix your ashy lips when it comes to speaking on a real one. Tom is the homie, and I’m a loyal friend to the end.

I’ll put these few 95-96 clips, against anybody in the game. Acting like Tom didn’t raise your favorite skateboarder, is straight-up blasphemy. Real ones know the deal. You Internet weirdos, go argue with your Mama.

The newly named Flip Skateboards moved to the USA in 1994, where they released their first pro board graphics, “the Butt-Kiss Series”. Tom’s ma*****na leaf deck was supposed to be made in a 7.75” size USA edition, but with the turmoil of relocating the company, the plan got left behind, and it was never released in the United States.

Until Now.

Tom’s Leaf deck is finally available for everyone, hand-screen printed in Southern California, by Flip Skateboards Founder, Jeremy Fox, and notably in its original colors, with low concave.
