Procurement plays a pivotal role in achieving corporate sustainability goals. To make an impact, procurement teams must embrace and measure performance against quantifiable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). With an increased focus on ESG reporting, you need more than one metric to demonstrate your organization’s commitments.

Here are the top KPIs for supply chain sustainability and how they drive tangible results.

The Reuters Events Sustainable Business Net Zero conference was very exciting and informative.

One theme that was very clear throughout almost all the discussions was the importance of "investor quality data."

ESG leaders are looking for more ways to get and ensure accurate data they can trust to report to their leaders and to the public (including investors). Trustworthy supply chain data and visibility... sound familiar?

Supplier.io has been doing supplier diversity for over 20 years.

It was also an inspirational event. While there are a lot of fragmented regulations and compliance challenges, ESG leaders are not slowing down.

Many organizations today are already doing the hard work and reporting voluntarily because it's good business and it's the right thing to do.

We were happy to be a part of the event and join our peers in advancing ESG programs forward!

Instead of being an enemy of , Supplier.io discovered that 55% of our 2023 State of Supplier Diversity study respondents saw it as a boon to their supplier diversity programs.

Many of the surveyed leaders shared that ESG and supplier diversity report to the same organization and that they report spend on both sustainable and diverse suppliers.

"With sustainability and corporate responsibility no longer optional in supply chains, how can procurement teams ensure their spending is responsible?

Procurement technology providers are increasingly attempting to encompass ESG data into their solutions to give buyers the visibility they need to make sustainable decisions on who to partner with.

It comes as technology provider Supplier.io announces an expansion into the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) domain as it will offer procurement teams a one-stop shop for responsible spending across the supply chain."

We gladly thank Procurement Magazine for their article covering Supplier.io's efforts to help address ESG data fragmentation by bringing global sustainability certifications, policies, and data into our platform.
